3. Permissions Requested & Why They Are Essential

To deliver its core storage optimization and security features, ShrinkMaster Pro requests certain sensitive Android permissions. Each permission is used solely for the stated functionality:

• All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_*):
  Purpose: Essential for discovering space-consuming duplicate files, scanning cache leftovers, purging orphaned app residue folders, detecting low-light/blurry duplicate photos, and saving compressed video files to user-chosen directories. All operations occur strictly on your physical device.
• Query Installed Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES / GET_PERMISSIONS):
  Purpose: Used exclusively by the local Malware & Security Shield. The engine inspects installed applications locally on the device to detect potential sideloaded adware, rogue overlay hijackers, and untrusted APK droppers.
  System Protection: System apps (such as Google Play Services and Samsung OneUI services) are protected by a permanent system whitelist. Package inspection happens purely in volatile memory—package inventories are never collected, transmitted, or logged.
• Foreground Service & Wake Lock:
  Purpose: Ensures that long-running video transcoding or batch file deduplication does not get interrupted by the Android OS when the screen dims.
• Vibration / Haptics (VIBRATE):
  Purpose: Delivers subtle tactile feedback during user actions such as completing a 1-Tap Speed Boost or confirming item deletion.

4. Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)

To keep ShrinkMaster Pro free to use, we display non-intrusive advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process limited diagnostic and advertising data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy:

• Google Advertising ID (AAID) for ad attribution and frequency capping.
